The Dance Camp is for girls 9-16 who want to increase their dance skills while enjoying a well-rounded, exciting summer of varied activities. The girls choose from top-quality, professional instructors of ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap dance, and hip hop. They may also choose fitness, all water sports (including swimming, waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, and diving), photography, painting, ceramics, and crafts. Intensive and recreational instruction in tennis is offered daily. Opportunities to perform on stage in talent shows and camp shows are offered weekly.

At all times, the girls are carefully supervised by mature women who understand that teen-agers are ready to make many of their own decisions and are able to set their own goals. Each counselor's role is to guide the girls in making appropriate decisions and to assist them in achieving their goals.

Everyday, each girl determines her own schedule. This must include a minimum of two activities in the morning and two in the afternoon, at least one of which is a dance class. The more serious dancers may take as many as five dance classes a day. All classes are small and separated into ability levels to provide the most effective and personal instruction.

Evening activities vary and as the girls are presented with an array of fun and unique opportunities. Special classes, talent shows, supervised and casual classes, and occasional trips out of camp are possible evening activities. Weekly trips are built into the dynamic schedule, including a trip during each session to see the New York City Ballet at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

Brant Lake Waterfront

Few camps in the United States offer as
extensive a waterfront program as Brant Lake. We pride ourselves on the excellent instruction and supervision given each camper in swimming, sailing, canoeing, boating, waterskiing, windsurfing, and kayaking.

Brant Lake, which is crystal clear with a lovely sand bottom, is ideally suited to learning and participating in these water sports. Our wonderful waterfront instructors provide safe, knowledgeable Red Cross certified instruction.

The waterfront is also a great place to have a social or spend time with friends.
